如ASHRAE出版 ”Application Guide：Chiller Heat Recovery”乙書第三章中一段說明：

While it may be possible to recover a given quantity of heat

from a chiller at a specific temperature, it is not always   economical.

在使用者用途不明時，不建議在冰水主機做熱回收設計。尤其當冷卻水溫接近室溫時，更無熱回收的經濟價值。
